From Your Brief to Mass Production, Step by Step
Custom lumbar support projects run on a defined process: brief, proposal, sample, approval, production, delivery. You always know which stage the project is at and what is needed from you next.
Seven Stages, No Surprises
Each stage ends with something agreed in writing, so the next stage starts from a fixed reference rather than an assumption.
Inquiry & Requirement Briefing
You share the product type, target market, expected volume range and any customisation you have in mind. If you already have drawings, a reference sample or a competitor product, include them — they shorten everything that follows.
Solution Proposal & Quotation
Our team reviews the brief and proposes a structure, material combination and manufacturing approach. You receive a written quotation covering the product, any tooling, packaging, and the commercial terms in the same document.
Sample Development
Once the approach is confirmed we build a sample. This is where foam density, firmness, cover material, stitching and dimensions are set to match the intended feel and the target price point.
Sample Review & Approval
You review the sample against your requirements and we adjust until it is right. The approved sample is then sealed as the reference standard — everything produced afterwards is measured against it.
Mass Production
Production runs on our own line, with in-process checks at cutting, sewing and assembly. Because the process is in-house rather than outsourced, capacity and scheduling stay under our control.
Inspection, Packaging & Shipping
Finished goods pass final inspection before packing. Packaging is applied to your specification — retail-ready, private label or gift set. We then arrange shipment by sea, air or courier.
After-sales Support
After delivery we stay available for feedback, repeat orders and product refinements. Reorders reference the sealed sample, so a second batch matches the first one rather than drifting.
Your Single Contact
One contact person carries your project from the first message through to delivery, so you are not re-explaining your requirements to a different desk at every stage.
Changes Handled in Writing
If a requirement changes mid-project, it is confirmed in writing and its effect on cost and schedule is stated before work continues. That keeps the final invoice explainable.
Six Levers You Can Adjust
Customisation scope is agreed before sampling, so the sample you approve is the product you receive.
Structure & Silhouette
Support profile, overall dimensions and curvature, adapted to the seat type and posture you are designing for.
Foam Density & Firmness
The single biggest driver of how a lumbar support feels — softer for comfort-led markets, firmer for long-distance driving.
Cover Fabric & Colour
Mesh, 3D breathable spacer fabric, leather-look materials and colourways selected to match your brand and climate.
Stitching & Trim
Piping, contrast stitching and trim finishes that change how the product reads in a retail photograph.
Logo & Branding
Woven labels, embroidery or print, positioned where your brand will actually be seen in use.
Packaging & Gift Box
Retail-ready cartons, private-label packaging and multi-item gift sets designed around your sales channel.
OEM or ODM — Which Fits You?
OEM — You Bring the Design
You have a design, a specification or an existing product you want matched. We manufacture it to your requirements under your brand, with your tolerance and quality criteria as the acceptance standard.
ODM — We Bring the Platform
You have a market and a price point but not a final design. We adapt an existing product platform — structure, foam, cover, branding — into something that fits your channel, and you approve the result before production.
Common Questions About Getting Started
How long does sample development take?
Timing depends on how much of the structure is genuinely new and how quickly materials and colours are confirmed. We give you an estimated schedule together with the proposal, and tell you if it changes rather than letting it slip quietly.
Is there a minimum order for a custom project?
Custom project requirements are discussed individually, because the practical minimum depends on the customisation involved, any tooling needed, and how the material has to be sourced. We confirm the figure in writing with the quotation so there is no ambiguity later.
Can I use my own fabric or a nominated supplier?
In many cases yes. If you have a preferred fabric or component supplier we can work with it, subject to confirming that the material performs correctly in the finished product and can be handled reliably in production.
Who owns the design for an ODM project?
Ownership is defined in the contract. For private-label and ODM work, we do not resell your customised design and we do not disclose it to third parties.
Can you handle my packaging and labelling requirements?
Yes. We produce retail-ready packaging, private-label packaging and gift sets, and can apply the labelling, barcode and language requirements that your destination market expects.
Send us the brief — we will tell you what is possible
A short description of what you want to sell, where you want to sell it and roughly how much you expect to order is enough for us to come back with a concrete proposal.
